SEEN is looking for a part-time, proactive and organised Event Planner to develop and deliver highquality events that raise awareness of our charity. This role suits someone creative, detailfocused, and confident managing logistics, people, and deadlines. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and deliver events that support SEEN's objectives 
  • Build strong relationships with volunteers, suppliers, venues, and attendees 
  • Promote events and raise awareness of SEEN's services 
  • Manage event timelines, logistics, and budgets 
  • Ensure events run smoothly and safely 

  

Essential 

  • Strong communication and organisational skills 
  • Able to prioritise, multitask, and work independently 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Confidence managing details, timelines, and people 

  

Desirable 

  • Experience planning events 
  • Experience working with volunteers or in a charity setting 
  • Understanding of SEEN's work 
  • An appreciation of the work that SEEN does 
  • Willing to attend training as necessary 
  •

Person Specification:   

  • Fluent English speaker with good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-motivated and resourceful approach to getting the job done  
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and to work with attention to detail  
  • Flexible multi-tasker who can work independently as well as part of a team  
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and ideally PowerPoint 
  • Basic numerical skills to e.g. produce event budget 
  • Respect confidentiality
