We want a board of Trustees who have a heart and vision for developing the work of our charity. There are no specific qualifications needed, but we are especially interested in meeting individuals with any of the following skills, attributes and experiences. These may have been gained through your career, volunteering, or lived experience:

  • An understanding of the impact that crisis pregnancy or pregnancy loss can have on spiritual, mental and emotional wellbeing.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Health sector.
  • Training or experience in Counselling or Therapy.
  • Experience in Communications, Marketing or Social Media.
  • An understanding of charity governance and finance.
  • Experience or knowledge of HR policies and processes.
  • Experience as a senior member of a  schools’ leadership team
  • Experience of working within the prison system

We welcome both male and female applicants. Our organisation supports both women and men, as we recognise that both women and men are greatly affected by pregnancy crisis and loss’.   As a faith-based charity we are looking for Trustees with a Christian faith, since this is integral to our vision and ethos.

Time Commitment

The board meets formally every 2 months.  As a small charity, our Trustees are hands-on and involved in supporting the day-to-day running of the charity to some extent. There is some email correspondence between meetings, and occasional informal meet-ups with staff or other trustees.  We do invite trustees to training and development events run by a number of organizations helping to develop charity trustees. Many of our trustees enjoy their involvement in fundraising events, staff interviews and appraisals and prison work visits, however these are optional.
